I greatly enjoyed the writing, but not so much the recipes. NO measurements, just general directions. Fine for an experienced cook, but not so much for one that doesn't cook very often. If this was marketed to the run of the mill cook, they could NOT cook from it. Obscure ingredients, no measurements, no explanations on what some terms mean. I love the stories in it, and the artwork. The recipes? NOT so much.

My wife's favorite chef, so I ordered it for Christmas. Although a small mixup, the customer service did a fantastic job and received the book for Christmas. She was thrilled about the book. The stories, art, and recipes are outstanding. Would recommend the book and publisher to anyone.
