Painted during Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s Ingres period, this 1887 work, Child with Cat (Julie Manet), now graces the front cover of this little notebook! Renoir’s fellow Impressionists and close friends, Berthe Morisot and her husband, Eugène Manet, commissioned him to paint this portrait of their young daughter, Julie. This pocket-sized, 64-page blank notebook is perfect for jotting down notes, “to-do” lists, sketches, and more.

This is an excellent book in its own right. It is well written and covers its subject matter very well. It is made all the better being in the lay it flat format. It can be positioned at a certain page to reference and never flips pages or tries to close. And it can be read in single page format by holding it in that manner. An excellent book made better. This is a sturdy, easy to follow instruction book that really lays flat, even when you fold the pages completely over.
