This collection of open stencils introduces youngsters to six symbols with an ancient past. Included are Egyptian emblems for the scarab beetle; cobra goddess Renenutet; Horus, the falcon god; the vulture goddess Nekhbet; the Eye of Horus; and a ram with curved horns — one of the many forms of Amun, "the king of gods."
Ideal for use in school assignments and decoration, these unusual figures will create instant interest on a variety of flat surfaces.

This is an excellent book in its own right. It is well written and covers its subject matter very well. It is made all the better being in the lay it flat format. It can be positioned at a certain page to reference and never flips pages or tries to close. And it can be read in single page format by holding it in that manner. An excellent book made better. This is a sturdy, easy to follow instruction book that really lays flat, even when you fold the pages completely over.
