The spiral binding is a great idea. Using this book and any book that is easier to use lying flat is so much better when spiral bound.

I bought this because it's on my friend's wish list for Christmas. I don't know much about this cookbook or the chef but my friend was very happy upon unwrapping it so I guess it has to be a good one. 😊 In terms of the customer service from layitflat, I think they are superb. I was worried that the order wouldn't arrive on time because I ordered it on 12/16 and I needed it by 12/23 so I chatted with an agent and he/she informed me that if I placed the order right away (at that time, it was already around 5:30-6pm) they would ship it the next day. And the order actually arrived earlier than I expected (12/19). Thank you layitflat! 👍
I was really looking forward to this cookbook and I really like the author. However, I found a lot of the recipes more regional to the east coast and being in the Midwest not as relative. I am sure I will use some of the recipes but will look at some of her other cookbooks to see if they are more adaptable to our region.
I was pleasantly surprised by the overall look of the cookbook once the plastic spiral was added. It lays so nice and flat - so perfect for following the recipe on the counter! The only thing I noticed was that the book was sent in a bubble mailer and the book jacket of the cookbook was damaged in shipping. I was hoping that it would arrive safely in a box.
