A modern translation with introductions by David A. deSilva

The Lexham Old Testament Apocrypha includes:
· Tobit (Vaticanus and Sinaiticus)
· Judith
· Greek Esther (Greek)
· Wisdom of Solomon
· Wisdom of Sirach
· Baruch
· Letter of Jeremiah
· the additions to Daniel (Old Greek and Theodotion), including the Prayer of Azariah, Susanna, and Bel and the Dragon
· 1-4 Maccabees
· 1-2 Esdras
· the Prayer of Manasseh
· Psalm 151
· Psalms of Solomon
· Greek 1 Enoch

Beautifully typeset in a single-column format, the Lexham Old Testament Apocrypha provides a literal and contemporary translation for modern readers. David A. deSilva briefly introduces each book, providing context and insight. This volume includes works typically omitted from other editions of the Apocrypha, such as the Psalms of Solomon, the Greek text of Enoch, and multiple versions of Tobit and the additions to Daniel.

The Apocrypha has been highly esteemed throughout history. While its canonical status is disputed, it has been embraced by Christians over centuries for personal study, devotion, and worship. The diverse writings in the Apocrypha contain biblical and post-biblical history, historical fiction, wisdom, and liturgy. These books shed light on Second Temple (intertestamental) Judaism and the New Testament, and they continue to inspire readers today.

America Test Kitchen’s The Complete Mediterranean Cookbook

This is my 4th! ATK Cookbook - actually, 1 of my 4 cookbooks is their Complete/All About Family Baking recipe book, ha, but I still consider it a “cook” book. My latest ATK cookbook, The Complete Mediterranean Diet Cookbook, is just as great as their other (3) cookbooks - it is everything I’ve come to expect from ATK - full of wonderful, healthy recipes that are easy to follow, along with including great color photos & SO MUCH more helpful information & great tips as well. After reading about how healthy & good for you! following a Mediterranean diet is, I researched different recipe books on the M.D., and NO surprise, America’s Test Kitchen The Complete Mediterranean Diet, overwhelmingly got the best rave reviews. I also LOVE this Lay-it-Flat spiral bound design (this is also my 4th Lay-it-Flat spiral bound book) in a cookbook, as it makes it so easy & convenient to read & follow the recipes, without pages flipping closed, or losing your place, or having it fall apart. Buy the ATK’s The Complete Mediterranean Diet, you won’t be disappointed!!

ideal Book Format for ADHD

The Lay it Flat version of the book is a must have. It really allows you to immediately pick up where you left off, and with my ADHD, if I get distracted I can return back to exactly where I left off with no effort. I took a chance on this format, my first Lay It Flat Book and now I’m wondering if I can get all my future books in this format. They’re on to something here! As for the content of the book, she is spot on with advice. Make the investment into yourself and reorganize your life from the ADHD perspective. It’s making a difference for me.

For Simpson Enthusiasts!

If you love the Simpsons, this is a great gift idea for the holidays! Very witty construction of the cookbook, some really cool recipes and a lot of homage paid to one of the great shows of all time. Highly recommended
