All hands on deck! This fine fleet of accurately detailed ships includes twenty-eight vessels deployed in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans during World War II. Included — among others — are line drawings of the ill-fated PT-109, commanded by a young John F. Kennedy; one of the many German U-boats that sunk tons of American shipping during the conflict; the USS Hornet, best remembered for launching Lt. Colonel James Doolittle's air raids on Tokyo; and the USS Missouri, the battleship on which the Japanese surrendered. Identifying captions provide information on ship size, firepower, length of service, and other details.

Shipping is free for all orders shipped within the United States for orders $59.99 and over. All other orders have a nominal fee of $4.99 unless customers choose faster delivery via for $9.99.

Orders are processed Monday-Friday in the order that they are received.

This is an excellent book in its own right. It is well written and covers its subject matter very well. It is made all the better being in the lay it flat format. It can be positioned at a certain page to reference and never flips pages or tries to close. And it can be read in single page format by holding it in that manner. An excellent book made better. This is a sturdy, easy to follow instruction book that really lays flat, even when you fold the pages completely over.
