How should we understand the Bible's many intricate themes across such a breadth of history and writings? This new edition of a successful textbook offers a unified theological vision of the Old and New Testaments. With up-to-date attention to biblical scholarship, the authors present the theological meaning of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

God shares his perfect love with his creatures in covenantal relationships. For such love to be realized, the people must love God fully with all their hearts and minds--become a holy people--and experience the indwelling presence of God--live in a holy land. The authors trace these twin themes through Abraham's promised descendants and land, Moses's law and tabernacle, David's kingship and temple, and ultimately the Son of God's incarnation and sending of his Holy Spirit.

Marked by focused presentations of central books of the Bible, this book shows how the themes of holy people and holy land hold together the biblical story. Attuned to creedal theology, it is accessible to the beginner and valuable to more advanced readers. The second edition has been updated throughout and includes a new foreword by Brant Pitre.

This book gives readers the tools to better understand Scripture by showing God's consistent purpose, as revealed by Scripture, to re-create his children so they might dwell with him in a communion of holiness and love through Jesus Christ. It is of special interest to Catholic readers while speaking to all Christians.

America Test Kitchen’s The Complete Mediterranean Cookbook

This is my 4th! ATK Cookbook - actually, 1 of my 4 cookbooks is their Complete/All About Family Baking recipe book, ha, but I still consider it a “cook” book. My latest ATK cookbook, The Complete Mediterranean Diet Cookbook, is just as great as their other (3) cookbooks - it is everything I’ve come to expect from ATK - full of wonderful, healthy recipes that are easy to follow, along with including great color photos & SO MUCH more helpful information & great tips as well. After reading about how healthy & good for you! following a Mediterranean diet is, I researched different recipe books on the M.D., and NO surprise, America’s Test Kitchen The Complete Mediterranean Diet, overwhelmingly got the best rave reviews. I also LOVE this Lay-it-Flat spiral bound design (this is also my 4th Lay-it-Flat spiral bound book) in a cookbook, as it makes it so easy & convenient to read & follow the recipes, without pages flipping closed, or losing your place, or having it fall apart. Buy the ATK’s The Complete Mediterranean Diet, you won’t be disappointed!!

ideal Book Format for ADHD

The Lay it Flat version of the book is a must have. It really allows you to immediately pick up where you left off, and with my ADHD, if I get distracted I can return back to exactly where I left off with no effort. I took a chance on this format, my first Lay It Flat Book and now I’m wondering if I can get all my future books in this format. They’re on to something here! As for the content of the book, she is spot on with advice. Make the investment into yourself and reorganize your life from the ADHD perspective. It’s making a difference for me.

If you love the Simpsons, this is a great gift idea for the holidays! Very witty construction of the cookbook, some really cool recipes and a lot of homage paid to one of the great shows of all time. Highly recommended
