Who is a member of the church?

Christians divide on how one enters the church body. Matters are quickly complicated once other factors are considered, such as faith, instruction, baptism, first communion, and formal membership. Who should be baptized? What role does instruction play? And what is the best order of these things?

Jonathan D. Watson's In the Name of Our Lord provides an explanatory typology and incisive analysis for thinking through these interrelated questions. Watson's four-model framework accounts for the major historical varieties of relationship between baptism and catechesis as initiation into the church. With this framework in place, Watson then considers each model in relation to one another.

With a guide to navigating the terrain, readers can comprehend, compare, and contrast these different theological formulations. Readers will have a sophisticated but clear system for thinking through foundational matters that are important to every pastor and congregant.

America Test Kitchen’s The Complete Mediterranean Cookbook

This is my 4th! ATK Cookbook - actually, 1 of my 4 cookbooks is their Complete/All About Family Baking recipe book, ha, but I still consider it a “cook” book. My latest ATK cookbook, The Complete Mediterranean Diet Cookbook, is just as great as their other (3) cookbooks - it is everything I’ve come to expect from ATK - full of wonderful, healthy recipes that are easy to follow, along with including great color photos & SO MUCH more helpful information & great tips as well. After reading about how healthy & good for you! following a Mediterranean diet is, I researched different recipe books on the M.D., and NO surprise, America’s Test Kitchen The Complete Mediterranean Diet, overwhelmingly got the best rave reviews. I also LOVE this Lay-it-Flat spiral bound design (this is also my 4th Lay-it-Flat spiral bound book) in a cookbook, as it makes it so easy & convenient to read & follow the recipes, without pages flipping closed, or losing your place, or having it fall apart. Buy the ATK’s The Complete Mediterranean Diet, you won’t be disappointed!!

ideal Book Format for ADHD

The Lay it Flat version of the book is a must have. It really allows you to immediately pick up where you left off, and with my ADHD, if I get distracted I can return back to exactly where I left off with no effort. I took a chance on this format, my first Lay It Flat Book and now I’m wondering if I can get all my future books in this format. They’re on to something here! As for the content of the book, she is spot on with advice. Make the investment into yourself and reorganize your life from the ADHD perspective. It’s making a difference for me.

If you love the Simpsons, this is a great gift idea for the holidays! Very witty construction of the cookbook, some really cool recipes and a lot of homage paid to one of the great shows of all time. Highly recommended
