Academy of Parish Clergy 2022 Top Five Reference Book

There are few biblical texts more familiar to Christians than Psalm 23: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want . . ." It is one of the Bible's most popular passages, retaining a special place in ministry and giving hope to the burdened.

Internationally recognized Old Testament scholar Richard Briggs helps readers understand the power and vision of Psalm 23. He offers a close word-by-word and phrase-by-phrase reading of this classic and beloved text, showing how it can speak afresh to the life of the church today. Briggs explores the reception of Psalm 23 down through the ages, covers background issues, and examines the ways the psalm addresses practical issues such as stress, death, enemies, and hope. The book helps reconnect the Christian church to the Old Testament, making it perfect for sermon preparation and small group study.

The Touchstone Texts series addresses key Bible passages, making high-quality biblical scholarship accessible to the church. The series editor is Stephen B. Chapman, Duke Divinity School.

America Test Kitchen’s The Complete Mediterranean Cookbook

This is my 4th! ATK Cookbook - actually, 1 of my 4 cookbooks is their Complete/All About Family Baking recipe book, ha, but I still consider it a “cook” book. My latest ATK cookbook, The Complete Mediterranean Diet Cookbook, is just as great as their other (3) cookbooks - it is everything I’ve come to expect from ATK - full of wonderful, healthy recipes that are easy to follow, along with including great color photos & SO MUCH more helpful information & great tips as well. After reading about how healthy & good for you! following a Mediterranean diet is, I researched different recipe books on the M.D., and NO surprise, America’s Test Kitchen The Complete Mediterranean Diet, overwhelmingly got the best rave reviews. I also LOVE this Lay-it-Flat spiral bound design (this is also my 4th Lay-it-Flat spiral bound book) in a cookbook, as it makes it so easy & convenient to read & follow the recipes, without pages flipping closed, or losing your place, or having it fall apart. Buy the ATK’s The Complete Mediterranean Diet, you won’t be disappointed!!

ideal Book Format for ADHD

The Lay it Flat version of the book is a must have. It really allows you to immediately pick up where you left off, and with my ADHD, if I get distracted I can return back to exactly where I left off with no effort. I took a chance on this format, my first Lay It Flat Book and now I’m wondering if I can get all my future books in this format. They’re on to something here! As for the content of the book, she is spot on with advice. Make the investment into yourself and reorganize your life from the ADHD perspective. It’s making a difference for me.

For Simpson Enthusiasts!

If you love the Simpsons, this is a great gift idea for the holidays! Very witty construction of the cookbook, some really cool recipes and a lot of homage paid to one of the great shows of all time. Highly recommended
