This biblically-based guide is designed to help boys ages 8–12 navigate the physical, emotional, and spiritual changes of growing up.
Becoming You for Boys is a comprehensive, Christ-centered guide designed to help preteen boys understand puberty, navigate emotional and social changes, and grow in wisdom and character. It blends science, practical advice, biblical truth, and gentle humor to make an often-awkward subject accessible and encouraging.
Counselor Darby A. Strickland offers a trustworthy, gospel-shaped vision of growing up that goes beyond body changes to help boys grow in wisdom, love, and godliness. She helps kids see their changing bodies, emotions, and friendships as part of God’s good design. This book mixes science, Scripture, and whimsy to answer uncomfortable questions, build confidence, and point boys to their identity in Christ. Encourages boys to embrace their God-given identity so they can grow in wisdom, strength and faith. Can be read independently or with parents and is a valuable tool for fostering open communication and building a strong foundation of faith during these transformative years. Includes an appendix for parents with conversation starters for talking to your son about his changing body and emotions and tips for when questions become awkward.

I have NEVER had any music book easier to use this. Gone are the days of pages not staying open or copies with multiple pages that disappear or become OUT OF ORDER!

America Test Kitchen’s The Complete Mediterranean Cookbook

This is my 4th! ATK Cookbook - actually, 1 of my 4 cookbooks is their Complete/All About Family Baking recipe book, ha, but I still consider it a “cook” book. My latest ATK cookbook, The Complete Mediterranean Diet Cookbook, is just as great as their other (3) cookbooks - it is everything I’ve come to expect from ATK - full of wonderful, healthy recipes that are easy to follow, along with including great color photos & SO MUCH more helpful information & great tips as well. After reading about how healthy & good for you! following a Mediterranean diet is, I researched different recipe books on the M.D., and NO surprise, America’s Test Kitchen The Complete Mediterranean Diet, overwhelmingly got the best rave reviews. I also LOVE this Lay-it-Flat spiral bound design (this is also my 4th Lay-it-Flat spiral bound book) in a cookbook, as it makes it so easy & convenient to read & follow the recipes, without pages flipping closed, or losing your place, or having it fall apart. Buy the ATK’s The Complete Mediterranean Diet, you won’t be disappointed!!

ideal Book Format for ADHD

The Lay it Flat version of the book is a must have. It really allows you to immediately pick up where you left off, and with my ADHD, if I get distracted I can return back to exactly where I left off with no effort. I took a chance on this format, my first Lay It Flat Book and now I’m wondering if I can get all my future books in this format. They’re on to something here! As for the content of the book, she is spot on with advice. Make the investment into yourself and reorganize your life from the ADHD perspective. It’s making a difference for me.

For Simpson Enthusiasts!

If you love the Simpsons, this is a great gift idea for the holidays! Very witty construction of the cookbook, some really cool recipes and a lot of homage paid to one of the great shows of all time. Highly recommended
