The Culture Club is one of the oldest women’s clubs in Greene County, Iowa. It began in 1891 as The Delvers, a study group that explored ideas, current events, and topics beyond the usual concerns of daily life in the pioneer days of the county. In 1897, the group became The Culture Club and continued its mission of being a place where women could discuss ideas freely. The cookbook includes vintage recipes using simple ingredients available at the turn of the 20th century in small town Iowa. The cookbook also includes many pages of vintage advertisements.All profits from the sale of this cookbook will be divided among the public libraries in Greene County on a yearly basis.
