In The Incarnation as God's First Intention, Edwin Chr. van Driel advocates a transformative perspective on the incarnation, proposing that God's decision to become incarnate was not a response to human sin but was instead God's first and foundational intention. Engaging the historical and theological roots of this supralapsarian (before the fall) Christology, Van Driel, a leading scholar on the topic, invites readers to reconsider long-held views on God's engagement with creation.

With clarity and depth, Van Driel unpacks how understanding the incarnation as God's original purpose reshapes the doctrines of creation, election, salvation, and eschatology. His insights offer a fresh framework for the church's mission in today's world, suggesting that God's presence with us is not merely a remedy for human fallenness but, rather, God's first intention and ultimate goal for creation.

Written for students, theologians, and all who seek a deeper understanding of God's relation to the world, this book challenges readers to see the incarnation, God's dwelling among us, as God's central purpose.

America Test Kitchen’s The Complete Mediterranean Cookbook

This is my 4th! ATK Cookbook - actually, 1 of my 4 cookbooks is their Complete/All About Family Baking recipe book, ha, but I still consider it a “cook” book. My latest ATK cookbook, The Complete Mediterranean Diet Cookbook, is just as great as their other (3) cookbooks - it is everything I’ve come to expect from ATK - full of wonderful, healthy recipes that are easy to follow, along with including great color photos & SO MUCH more helpful information & great tips as well. After reading about how healthy & good for you! following a Mediterranean diet is, I researched different recipe books on the M.D., and NO surprise, America’s Test Kitchen The Complete Mediterranean Diet, overwhelmingly got the best rave reviews. I also LOVE this Lay-it-Flat spiral bound design (this is also my 4th Lay-it-Flat spiral bound book) in a cookbook, as it makes it so easy & convenient to read & follow the recipes, without pages flipping closed, or losing your place, or having it fall apart. Buy the ATK’s The Complete Mediterranean Diet, you won’t be disappointed!!

ideal Book Format for ADHD

The Lay it Flat version of the book is a must have. It really allows you to immediately pick up where you left off, and with my ADHD, if I get distracted I can return back to exactly where I left off with no effort. I took a chance on this format, my first Lay It Flat Book and now I’m wondering if I can get all my future books in this format. They’re on to something here! As for the content of the book, she is spot on with advice. Make the investment into yourself and reorganize your life from the ADHD perspective. It’s making a difference for me.

If you love the Simpsons, this is a great gift idea for the holidays! Very witty construction of the cookbook, some really cool recipes and a lot of homage paid to one of the great shows of all time. Highly recommended
